As an assistant professor of teaching, Professor Verbitsky’s primary focus is on pedagogy and undergraduate education. He is an active participant in campus education workshops and he regularly leads workshops as well. While at the University of Texas, he was a member of a Graduate Teaching Scholars program and he is now part of the broader Faculty Learning Community at UC Davis. Drawing from these communities and from academic research on pedagogy, Professor Verbitsky tries to incorporate innovative teaching strategies in the classroom and in his course assignments.  A copy of his curriculum vitae is here.
