Gabriella R. Montinola joined the UC Davis political science department in 1997. Her current research focuses on the impact of foreign aid and international remittances on governance and development. Montinola has also published research on corruption, the rule of law, and the political economy of the Philippines. She has participated in projects commissioned by Freedom House, the World Bank, and USAID. She received  her Ph.D. in Political Science from Stanford University and her bachelor’s degree from Emory University.  A copy of her curriculum vitae is available here.
