About

Hello!

I am a second-year Ph.D. student in Political Science at UC Davis, where I study American politics. My research focuses on American political behavior and attitudes in the post-2020 world, including perceptions of democratic erosion in the United States, the salience of issues like COVID and the state regulation of personal freedoms, and state-level electoral outcomes. I am also interested in how Race and Ethnicity Politics (REP) and Political Geography enhance our understanding of these topics.

I received B.A.s in Politics and Feminist Studies from UC Santa Cruz in 2018. Before applying to graduate school, I worked in politics professionally for several years. I fundraised for a nationally-recognized Congressional race and worked in Constituent Services for a Congressional District Office. I have lived in various places throughout Northern California, as well as the Washington, D.C. area, rural Colorado, and Reykjavík, Iceland.

In my free time, I enjoy traveling, writing for fun, and drinking coffee.
