I am a third-year PhD candidate in the American Politics subfield. I'm interested in democratic institutions and accountability for elite undemocratic behavior, as well as American Political Development and the intersection between political and electoral institutions and racial politics. I also have an interest in symbolic politics and political rhetoric surrounding American Civil Religion and nationalism. Before joining the program, I worked at the Brennan Center for Justice at NYU School of Law, where I worked on issues of constitutional reform and served as the lead research assistant and project manager on The People's Constitution (The New Press, 2021).
