PhD Candidate Alice Malmberg Awarded an APSA Experimental Research Section Early Career Fellowship

The Experimental Research Section of the American Political Science Association (APSA) has named Alice Malmberg as one of six recipients of its 2025 Early-Career Research Fellowship. Alice earned the honor with a research proposal that leverages large language models to simulate human decision-making in conjoint choice experiments, a technique poised to broaden the methodological toolkit available to experimentalists while sharply reducing data-collection costs. Over the coming year, she will consult regularly with senior scholars nominated by the section, workshop her findings with the other fellows in dedicated Zoom sessions, and present her results to the wider APSA community—advancing the section’s mission to expand and connect the growing network of political scientists who rely on randomized or natural experiments in their research.
