NRC ranking for graduate program quality

The National Research Council (NRC), an affiliate of the nonprofit National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine, prepares reports that help influence public policies and support advancement of of science, engineering and medicine. The NRC assesses and ranks academic doctoral programs according to 21 criteria. The Graduate Program of the UC Davis Department of Political Science attained a national ranking of 5 (on a scale of 100) in criteria important to students, including students' completion rates, financial aid, and other factors. UC Davis Political Science also scored a ranking of 6 in research (reflecting faculty publications, citation rates, grants and awards) and a 7 rank in attributes important to scholars.
